“ Love this new spot. This is my first exposure to Montreal style bagels and Im all in. The rosemary sea salt bagels are so yummy, and the Eggy Vedder breakfast sandwich is awesome. They were kind enough to give my dog a pup cup through the walk up window! Now he always wants to go back there. This review was made in connection with a Toast promotion. ”
“ Wow this place is incredible! Arguably one of the best bagels in Evanston and Chicago. Delicious Montreal style bagels, sandwiches, and fun specialty coffee drinks. I had the pistachio latte and it was divine! I highly recommend the Lox sandwich sesame or giardinera bagel and the cacio e pepe cream cheese blew my mind! Not only is the food delicious but the atmosphere is so cozy and welcoming. Its always warm in there from the wood burning oven and the kitchen is open concept so you can watch the entire prep process if youre there at the right time. If you happen to be there with your kids during the dough rolling step, theyll let them roll out their own bagel so they feel like theyre helping with the prep process. Its so cute! The owner Brad is so kind and charismatic and is always chatting it up with regulars and strangers alike. I love this place with my whole heart. The bagels do tend to sell out. I was there last Sunday and they were already almost out of bagels at noon so get there early so you have all the flavor options ”
“ Leftys has become a new addiction in our home! So far, we have tried bagels garlic, everything, Kerry Gold cheddar, plain, cinnamon sugar, and giardiniera cream cheese plain, scallion, honey vanilla sandwiches the Larry Bird drinks cold brew, apple cider scones Pros customer service is excellent the texture of these bagels is addicting the cream cheese is so good! I do feel like the right amount is about 1.52 cream cheeses though. the everything bagel has toppings on BOTH sides so much yes. the scones are dangerously delicious I think theyre from a different business its beautiful inside and theres a bar window to see how the bagels are made drawing pages so helpful with my kids! walk up window outside for coffee the Larry Bird was worth the price Apple cider was honestly some of the best weve ever had Growth Edges the garlic bagel needs more garlic, then it would be perfection we tried the giardiniera bagel during opening and it really just tasted like a plain bagel. I want to try it again and hopefully itll pack flavor next time and has been improved! sandwich prices are a bit extra, but well try more of them and hopefully the price is worth it! ”
“ Fabulous space but even more so Montreal style bagel making where its soaked in honey water and then put into the fire oven. They have a great bar like space where you can watch the whole process. Even more so, the bagels are delicious. The favorites include their kerrygold cheddar and the rosemary pink salt. The sandwiches are also yummy we tried the Eddie veddar which had the bacon, egg and arugula and the other one with lox and capers. Both decadent and filling. ”
“ Hands down, the greatest bagels I have tried in ChicagoChicagoland. The soft texture and crunchy crust are complemented by the essence of the woodfired oven. And this comes from someone who lived in New York. The crew that works there is very friendly and clearly dedicated to their craftvery attentive to detail. Also, the coffee is out of this world, something I always wished a traditional bagel deli had. Leftys delivered! Highly recommend trying the Eggy Vedder on an everything bagel or the Cacio e Pepe schmear on a Giardiniera bagel. Cheers! ”
“ I placed a large order to bring to a group and the service and packaging could not havent better. First, Leftys DOES have coffee carriers that serves 12. Not on their menu but should be. I also brought a curried chickpea salad which was a huge hit. Not surprising, everyone loved the bagels. Highly recommend Leftys for carry out group breakfasts. It was a hit with my group! ”
“ Holy moly. What an incredible first visit to Leftys!!! The space is bright welcoming. The staff were warm helpful. You can look at the wood burning oven at the back of the shop which I loved. I met Brad, the owner, he was friendly thanked me for coming in. Now onto the bagels cream cheese simply wonderful outstanding in every way. I ordered 20 to feed a crowd a mix of plain, everything, cinnamon sugar, and Kerrygold cheddar. The bagels had a wonderfully crisp exterior with a soft still warm interior. The cream cheese knocked it put of the park. Creamy and delicious we tried scallion, honey vanilla look for the flecks of vanilla bean no wonder it tasted so darn good! and plain. The cream cheese felt decadent in a way Im not accustomed to it was incredible. One of the staff members offered a pup cup of whipped cream for my dog as well literally my whole family was happy! ”
